| This gallery presents photos of thunderstorms and lightning. Most are taken at night to obtain strong contrast between the lightning and the surroundings (the powerful light that is given off often illuminates and shapes the clouds) and to be sure to have a sufficiently long exposure time (between 15 and 30 seconds) with a moderate aperture and low sensitivity to avoid overexposing the shot. |
